Excuse me while I go off on a rant for a bit, but I’m sure many of you have been screwed over by your affiliate managers on more than one occasion, and if they have, this is how you probably feel.
Yesterday I was running an offer, and have been running it for over a month without a peep from the offer’s management. They decided to back out as the ROI on the offer just wasn’t worth it for them. That’s all fine and dandy, until you factor in that my affiliate manager who knows I’ve been running this offer failed to inform me in any way. So I found out for myself when my traffic was being redirected to another offer. Luckily, that offer was backing out for me with a slight drop in ROI, but still profitable.
I try not to check my stats too often and build other campaigns out, which I was doing. Eventually, I fell asleep.
I woke up to check my stats today to see something really funny. I was down about -80% ROI. They switched the offer on me again. I got no email, no warning, and the offer wasn’t even in the same niche as the traffic I was running to it. Let’s not forget the 300% decrease in payout.
I don’t care if my traffic wasn’t converting on your end, I don’t care if the quality was bad, and I don’t care if you have to switch offer links because of that, but your responsibility is to let me know when you have to do this, why, and what I can do to improve or get my quality back up. Don’t just say, aww he’ll figure it out himself. Don’t assume because I didn’t do $100,000 revenue last month, that I won’t do it this month. I don’t know if you’re trying to intentionally burn a bridge with me or not, but shit like this loses me a lot of money that just makes me wanna say, “You know what? I’m done sending you any kind of traffic.” There are too many other networks and affiliate manager that know what they’re doing to just let something like this slip by.

Hi Justin,
It happened to me once with a very reputable CPA network and I raised the matter to my AM who promptly reimbursed me based on my average daily earnings for the offer. Maybe you should speak to your AM as well.
Cheers!

Have you talked to your manager? Can you get some kind of credit? I mean one time mistake is one thing but few is a whole different thing. Makes you question late at night if your traffic is doing anything, specially on the weekend…
I hear ya. Azoogle has done shit like that too me…and they wonder why I don't run with them.
Happened to me before too and I stopped using the network for a while. Got a message from them a few months down the road to come back and came back, same thing happened within the first few months. Its one of the most frustrating things for me. Especially if a day of losses since there are 0 conversions from all the traffic can be equal to a week or more of profit.
Exactly the same thing has happened to me and i spoke with my affiliate maanger and they soon credited me in full. I suggest you email your affiliate manager with all the facts and figures and they should sort you out.
@ Youngblut
Same thing Azoogle has done that to me twice
great post
yeah, azoogle did this a few times to me too. twice this year already. lame.
Azoogle did this to me twice in this year. Once they lowered my lead cap without informing me and then they lowered the payout without notifying me about that. All azoogle AM's run there own campaigns, they steal affiliates campaigns, by asking them to send over there ads and Lp's for review as advertiser need it.
If you have any proof of this, that would make for an awesome blog post. lol
