Most of this stuff should be obvious to the marketing veterans, so you should probably just ignore my posts. Infact, I don’t know why any of you would read my posts. You probably make more money than me off of just about everything. For you IM noobs, here’s some notes about Facebook traffic.
Advertisers hate Facebook traffic. It doesn’t matter which offer it is for, or what network, they just all hate it pretty much. That’s because they get a lot of noobs trying out their offers on 13 year olds and people that just won’t convert into sales at the end of leads. I suggest if you want good relationships with your affiliate managers and advertisers that you should only push offers to people you know are more likely to convert to sales. Ex. Advertise dating to 25 year old singles and up, auto insurance to those that need it, ringtones to 16 – 18 year olds. Sure, they might all convert well for your leads when you target stupid demographics, but what happens when the advertiser says no more leads for you and pulls the plug? I’ve been kicked off a few programs for sending shitty traffic, so I know this well.
Dating has just sucked. I went from pushing one offer on Ads4Dough that was converting at 17% which has dropped all the way to 7 – 10% in this past month. It still makes me money, but not a whole lot as you can imagine, atleast not as much as before.
CTRs are down. This is mostly due to the new layout on Facebook. IM aren’t the only ones that hate this. Looking through all my friends profiles, I see about a quarter of them have joined the “New Facebook Layout Sucks” group. They aren’t marketers, either.
You want to make money on Facebook? Bid low. I’m seeing most click price recommendations are starting around 30 – 50 cents. That’s retarded. Do half or 3/4th of what they suggest, and keep going lower if you can. You will make a lot more money bidding low over 50 campaigns than spending 10 more cents a click on 5 campaigns. If you are lazy, then you’re an idiot. Come on… this means money, which means paid bills, cars, houses, and bitches! Be serious and be efficient. For some of you bigger guys (who really shouldn’t be reading this anyways) you might not be to needy as far as this because you might be running 100 other campaigns. In that case, just keep expanding upon whats already making you money.
Track that shit! Use seperate sub ids for all the traffic you are sending. I can have two similarly written copies with 2 different pictures for one offer, and one will make me 50% and the other will lose me 50%. That’s no problem if I have two seperate sub IDS. I can quick check my stats, and then shut down the ad that is making me money. It takes a little more time to write header redirects and use it that way, but it pays off especially when you can cloak it for another offer. I’ve got a script that does this for me. Writing one shouldn’t be too hard (I got it from a friend, so don’t look at me if you want me to write it for you). No, I’m not gonna give it out. Sorry.
Dating, education, diet and fitness offers do well. Go and promote them now.
I’m out. Peace wiggers.

How many campaigns are you running on FB?
Well, only a few different profitable offers, but at any one time I'll run about 20 – 200 ads. I ussually make about 20 – 50 ads a day just to keep them fresh.
