Welcome to Justin Dupre (dot) com! It’s my space to talk about what freelancing is all about, how it affects my life, what angles I take on freelancing, and best of all, tell you how much that last client just paid me! I can only cover into the writing aspects of a freelancers work, so I plan to recruit the help of freelance developers, programmers, marketers, entrepreneurs, designers, and whatever other type of freelancers our world is made up of. Think of Justin Dupre (dot) com as a miniature Freelance Switch (excellent resource for anyone looking to enter freelancing), that is, without the greatness (for now).
I plan to grow along with this blog, and I want to take as many of you as possible. I’m also using this blog to market myself. It’s a chance to test myself to see whether or not I can pick up clients by showing them, mostly, what I can write on the fly. I do plan many of my blog posts, however, when I have a great idea, I tend to want to get it to you as fast as possible. Proper editing usually takes care of that, and that is never put in granted for any client.
Anyways, this is just an introductory post. Depending on whether or not I get a client tomorrow, I may come back for an excellent post about my experiences have gone freelance writing. I haven’t been in the freelance business for years, but I’m not new to quality writing. Expect it from me. If it isn’t up to class for you, tell me. Pick up the phone, call me, and yell. Let me really know I shouldn’t be writing. I will prove you wrong.
My first tip:
Confidence is an excellent quality for any freelancer to carry. There is a difference between being proud in your work and being able to sell it to your client and holding your head higher thinking you are the best freelancer in your niche. We are in this game together, so let’s support each other as we build up our portfolios.
