Quick Affiliate Marketing Tip #3 – KISS Mobile LP Ad Copy

Posted on February 12th, 2013 By Under Mobile, Quick Tips

kiss landing page ad copyI know a lot of you are interested in the subject of mobile advertising. I’m not going to lie to you… it’s hard, expensive, and it can take quite a while to fully grasp it. Hell, I’ve been at it for over a year now, and I still don’t halfway understand the results I get sometimes.

One thing I can tell you, though, is that more times than not a landing page can help you increase your conversion rate on any old offer. Now, you shouldn’t be taking desktop browsing-based landing page styles over to your mobile landing pages. On a standard PC you can see a lot more info, you’re more into the site you are browsing or landing page you are at, and are usually more attentive. This allows us to use longer landing pages with more info, testimonials, and multi-segmented pages to make things work. This is not so with mobile.

On a mobile ad, attention spans are very short. Your landing page will need to cater to a mobile user’s specific behaiviors. You will only have a couple seconds to hook them in and have them click on to your offer. Keep it Simple, Stupid! Your ad copy should be short, concise, and should tell the user exactly what to expect on the next page. Perhaps you’ve tested multiple web based ads for a similar product. Take what worked best for you there and make it the highlight of your landing page. If you aren’t yet sure, make multiple landing pages and split test a few short 1-2 liner copies to come up with the best results.

I like to when starting a campaign to direct link to see how the offers convert and then build my landers around the data that I accumulated and of course test multiple offers is a part of this process..
