A new year has rolled around! It’s been nearly 2 months since my last post. I’ve been seriously neglecting the blog, but that tends to happen around this time of year. Sales boom, conversion rates go up, and overall, business has always been strongest for me the first 2-3 months of a new year. I promise I’m going to try to write more, and I’ll also continue with my Affiliate Marketing Guide posts. I’ve got a lot of great new knowledge bombs for you that I’ve gotten the past two months, so I can’t wait to share them with you.
Back on track to the topic of this post – Have you made your new year’s resolutions, yet? I’ve written my big goals down and I’m ready to accomplish them.
I’ve done a lot of sitting around the past year. It reflects in my gut. Clothes that were comfortable to wear a year or so ago are now embarrassingly tight. Whenever I meet friends I haven’t seen for a while, they always comment on how fat I’ve gotten (It’s a Thai culture thing!). Well, I won’t have any more of that. I will be attempting to make it to the gym 5-6 days a week, for at least 30 minutes per day. I don’t have a set weight yet, as I think the weight I’m at is pretty good. The only problem is that it is mostly fat. So, let’s look forward to losing the gut at the very least. I don’t need a six pack, but a flat stomach would be nice.
This is a continuing goal of mine for the past year or longer. I try to spend at least 7-8 hours a day (Monday – Thursday, with 4-6 hours on Fridays and a couple hours each weekend day) working on just affiliate marketing and related tasks. I hope to continue this in the hopes of an even bigger year than last. My schedule has been set pretty well, so I only see my revenue and profits going up. I’m looking for 150 – 200% growth per year, even though my average has been around 250 – 300% growth per year. I’m just keeping my goals within reach. If and when I succeed them, I can goal-set further.
Because I spend so much time locked up on the PC, I don’t always have a chance to go out as much as I used to, or talk with family. It’s especially hard when I’m all the way out in Thailand, my friends from college have moved on to jobs outside the city or don’t have any time to meet up themselves, or I’m just too exhausted to do anything. This year, I hope to spend at least 1 day a week on a Skype call with family, and go out with friends each weekend day and once during the week to keep my sanity and social life in check. I’ve also scheduled myself to go to several entrepreneur/business meetups here in Bangkok. I will stay regular with those and meet more like minded people to grow my social circle and business.
So have you written down your yearly goals yet? What are they? Keep your goals realistic, and plan to reward yourself when you succeed. What’s my reward? Usually fancy steak dinners and a bottle of bubbly.
There is nothin’ better!
