Make Money Get Paid – New Condo!

Posted on October 29th, 2008 By Under Thailand

I’m finally settled into my new crib, which would be the cause of my long hiatus from posting here + some hugenormous campaigns I’m building on Google (ones got 2000 keywords with 250+ ad groups). So without wasting any extra time cause I gotta get ready for class, lets take a look at my crib.

If you remember this old post, you’ll see some pictures of my old apartment. It would be fine for someone who likes living in a cardboard box. Now with all this money I be makin’ on the Internets, its time to move out.

The aftermath of packing… Wonder how happy my landlord was to get to pick that shit all up. Made sure I threw away all my ex-gfs stuff she left at my place and never took back. Haha.

It took a while to get everything into my room as traffic was a bitch (even though this place is only about 2 km from my old place), and the elevator ended up taking my stuff up to my floor without me in it, but me and a few friends managed it. I bought them some food and drinks for payment in helping me set up… friends are easy to buy here. Lol

So lets take a peak shall we. You walk into the room and see this:

That would be the living room with a dining set on the left and an awesome balcony over looking the pool that all the sexy Japanese chicks swim in. I’ll try and get some shots when I spy them out there. ;)

I used to have my two computers, TV and PS3 all on the same desk. Now, I’ve got separate area just for the sexy LCD screen and PS3 to entertain guests. I honestly don’t play that much anymore (waiting for Final Fantasy and the final version of Grand Turismo), but when my friends were in my room they were addicted to Soul Caliber.

To the right of the door is the kitchen. It’s pimping with a clothes washer (yes, clothes washer), full size fridge, electric stove top and over + hood, and microwave. I was hungry, so I decided to cook something for myself for the first time in about 1 year, or since the last time I went to America.

Was my bacon and egg sandwich good? Actually, it was the best bacon and egg sandwich I’ve ever eaten. I’ve hardly ever cooked a thing in my life, but day-ummmmmmn. This was tasty. The bacon was juicy, eggs were done just right, and the stove-toasted bread was just toasty enough. Be jealous. Not many affiliate marketers got cookin’ skillz like me. John Chow FTW!

Upstairs (Duplex condo… say what!? Hell Yeahz…) we’ve got my bedroom with another view of the sexy chicks swimming in the pool and those weird whities makin’ love in the opposite building. Bedsheets are for women. They’ll be put into use soon, but for now I need some time to unpack and rest.

My cleaned up workspace. This is where the Adwords and Facebook magic happens (fuck Myspace shinnanigans). The surround sound set up is awesome not that its a bit more spread out and wrapped around me. Porn never sounded better. Speaking of which I blocked out the porno I was DL’in on my notebook with my Plum card envelope. Plum FTW!

Finally, the master bathroom (there is a small half bathroom for guests downstairs) where I get to touch myself and get shiny. It’s got a bathtub! Most traditional Thai bathrooms don’t have one (just a floor with a hole for water to go down), so to get one is awesome. The ladies are gonna love it (or maybe they’ll be confused and wonder why there isn’t just a hole in the floor).

That’s it for my condo update. I’ve still got some things to move around, but it’s pretty much all set. It’s going to be awesome staying here, I can already tell. It’s quiet, in an amazing neighborhood surrounded by clubs, and there are hot Japanese chicks here. Japanese chicks in Thailand FTW!

If you’ve got some questions to ask, ask and I’ll try and follow them up in a couple days. I might work on a new layout for the blog with some links that should really help you guys get to at least 50 dollars a day in profit.

  7. Justin Dupre says:

@yebot – I am a success guy internet business… right? Who are you paying to post comments on other peoples blogs?

@sabai – Silom is for old, fat, ugly foreigners. I'm young, hip and god damn sexy. It's in Ekamai where all them hotty Japanese girls hang out.

@Aditya – This place would be really expensive to buy, but I'll think about it when I have those kind of monies. I'm renting for now.

    @Buddy – GL

  8. sabai says:

LOL…my mistake. So you're right next to all those "high so" Thong Lo clubs.

How much per month for rent if you don't mind me asking? I used to live along lower Sukhumvit and later moved to the Ratchada area near the Esplanade mall. Now living the lazy island life down in Phuket.

  9. JP says:

Dude, awesome place. & that bacon and egg sandwich looks so good. Haven't had one of those in too long.

  15. Justin, just stumbled across your blog and subscribed to your newsletter and downloaded the free pics. Thanks a lot. I was in Bangkok last year from Oct-Dec (Rented an apartment in Rama 9). I am planning to do the same this year also.

I am getting into Facebook and other PPV marketing. Hope to learn a lot from your newsletter.

I have good exposure to online makreitng but not much advertising experience in Facebook and PPV channels. Mostly I have lost money in those channels. But I have built a substantial portfolio of sites and doing fairly well using SEO (no, not like the Internet Gurus who make millions).

Are you on an educational visa? My problem is that I need to get out of Thailand every 30-day because as you know the airport entry permit is only for 30-day. This time I may get a 60-day tourist visa and then get an extension. Last year I went to Manila and Macau to cover my 90-day stay.

And about your condo. It is nice and if you don't mind sharing the rent. And what is the minimum lease term? I will looking for a place to rent for the three months I will be in Bangkok.

Most thai condos are asking for at least 6 months lease term of forfeit the deposit.

    • Justin Dupre says:

Haha. Def. not sharing my condo with anyone else except women.

I'm on an EDU visa until November. I might re-enroll, or I might leave every month, fly to Japan for a weekend, head out to Holland to meet up with friends… it gives me a good excuse to see the world.

The shortest contract I've seen on apartment rents are 6 months, 1 year is standard though. Look for a long stay hotel. You can probably get a 30 – 40 sq. m studio for 500 – 600$ a month. Not the cheapest option, but you don't really have a choice unless you don't mind giving up your 2 month security deposit.

  16. Justin, sorry I miswrote. I wanted to know how much rent are you paying for the condo?

I have not found any long-stay hotel for $500 (20,000B), at least not in lower or upper Sukumvit area. May be in Rama II far away from BTS or MRT. Do you know any in Sukumvit or Ratchada area (not in Ladprao)? Near Silom is also OK if it is walking distance to MRT or BTS.

I am reading all your PPV related articles. Can you recommend a good PPV course?

    • Justin Dupre says:

There are plenty right across the road from MBK for 10k a month. And with the tourism industry shot from the protests, you know there will be lots of hotels slashing prices.

My rent with all bills is around 40k+ a month.

  17. dom says:

good to see theres other young foreigners making a decent living in thailand and not having to lower themselves to English teaching. I lived and worked near where you are, and at times miss it. But nothing lasts forever. Besides, I think Thailand has gone to ruins, mainly because of all the sexpats pushing accomodation prices to unprecendented levels. Also, Thailand has to be one of the most dangerous countries I've ever lived in, which so many tourists are blissfully unaware of. But the worst thing is the type of foreigners Thailand attracts (falling mainly into the aforementioned country). And so many are down on the place that they choose to stay in for the rest of their lives – go figure. On the other hand if you're in your 20s/early 30s and love the partying it's a great place to stay for a while. But I just got bored of it and not making the kind of money I wanted to be making in Asia. Its a nice site you have here, and you seem to be living the life – just be careful out there! Laters

    • Justin Dupre says:

Don't want to deal with the Sexpats, just don't hang out with them. Much of that is secluded to 2-3 very small areas of Bangkok. Housing costs are fine. Just don't look where the sexpats are looking. I look for housing through Thai rental websites and often times you'll see the same place being advertised at 3/4ths the rent as compared to what you see on the English only agent sites. Thailand isn't any more dangerous than an unfamiliar city in the United States. I love the place and couldn't see myself moving to any other place except Japan or Korea for some short stints, but BKK will always be the place I call home.
