Because they have plants that manufacture those generic shitty cars in Thailand. There are maybe about 10-20 different cars that are common in Thailand. I want something unique. Something that isn’t made in Thailand. A Nissan GT-r or 370z, Subaru WRX STi. All decently priced in America, but the GTr is priced around the same price as a Lamborghini in America. Rediculous!

I do want a car, but it would be a waste of money. Traffic in Bangkok is horrible, I hardly ever go anywhere more than 5 miles away, taxis are plentiful 24 hours a day, and everything I need to live is within walking distance. Also, the import tax on foreign cars (I would honestly never trust any car manufactured and assembled in Thailand) is 307%. A decent $25,000 car in the states can cost $75,000 – $100k here.

@Shawns. It’s in Thong Lor. Lots of Farangs, some Japs, some Thais. The whole soi is full of condos and developing condominiums. Really nice area. Only problem is there are no motorcycles waiting down by the back of the soi where I am so I have to walk about half a kilo or so to the nearest sky train. Good for the exercise though. Should keep me more active than I normally am.

Nice looking place, Justin. The view isn’t too bad, the photo quality seems to be holding up alright. I have the same phone, BB Bold 9000 and it seems to work alright in terms of picture quality.
