I appologize for the lack of post this past week. I was packing my stuff up and just moved in to a new condo. I had to set up my own internet connection which just came online today. I was trying to take my 3 year 0ld laptop out to my university to jack some wi-fi (No one in a 100 foot range of my computer had a wireless a/b/g connection. I hit one N connection, but it had security I couldn’t by-pass as well as a weak signal. What gives yo!) so I could do some work, but I’m pretty sure my notebook would rather explode then let me browse more than 3 tabs on Firefox at one time.
Anyways, I’m up and back at work now. The new connection is a lot faster than what I’m used to (I’m streaming like… 20 pornos at once here without the need to buffer. WOO!), so it’ll be great for refreshin’ my stats and all that. If you haven’t added me on Facebook, you should, and you can see pics of my new place, otherwise check them out here (low quality, Blackberry Bold photos. My camera was stolen and I’m too lazy to buy a new one. I’d hardly use it).
It’s bigger and less expensive than my old place. So, that’s all good and dandy. I’ll have a few extra hundred dollars to invest in my business every month. The bedroom view sucks during the day, but I only go in there to sleep and… yeah… but at night all the buildings lit up is pretty cool. I like it.

Nice looking place, Justin. The view isn’t too bad, the photo quality seems to be holding up alright. I have the same phone, BB Bold 9000 and it seems to work alright in terms of picture quality.

view aint the worst, at least you aren’t a couple floors down. What district did you find your spot? is it a “western” building or mixed with Thais?

@Shawns. It’s in Thong Lor. Lots of Farangs, some Japs, some Thais. The whole soi is full of condos and developing condominiums. Really nice area. Only problem is there are no motorcycles waiting down by the back of the soi where I am so I have to walk about half a kilo or so to the nearest sky train. Good for the exercise though. Should keep me more active than I normally am.

I do want a car, but it would be a waste of money. Traffic in Bangkok is horrible, I hardly ever go anywhere more than 5 miles away, taxis are plentiful 24 hours a day, and everything I need to live is within walking distance. Also, the import tax on foreign cars (I would honestly never trust any car manufactured and assembled in Thailand) is 307%. A decent $25,000 car in the states can cost $75,000 – $100k here.

Because they have plants that manufacture those generic shitty cars in Thailand. There are maybe about 10-20 different cars that are common in Thailand. I want something unique. Something that isn’t made in Thailand. A Nissan GT-r or 370z, Subaru WRX STi. All decently priced in America, but the GTr is priced around the same price as a Lamborghini in America. Rediculous!
