Justin,

While we're on the subject of Facebook giving us the shaft, here's a recent ad disapproval message that they sent to me. I'd like to see if your interpretation is the same as mine:

"The content advertised by this ad is restricted. Per section 5 of Facebook's Advertising Guidelines, this content is prohibited from being advertised on Facebook. We reserve the right to determine what advertising we accept, and will not allow the creation of any further Facebook Ads for this product. Ads for this product, service or site should not be resubmitted. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy."

I interpreted this as meaning that I needed to abandon this offer and start with a totally new offer. In other words, this campaign is totally screwed. If I try resubmitted for this offer, I run the risk of being banned. Do you get the same idea? Have you seen this one before?

It's funny, because I was running this offer just fine for about two weeks, having the ads being approved multiple times. And then, last night I changed the wording of the ad just a little bit...

I'd like to get your take on it.

Thanks!
Stevo

Exactly the same situation im in. Seriously fucked.

Ive learnt an awesome lesson though - don't rely too much on the one traffic source.

Im trying to take it as a blessing in disguise, find more traffic, diversify & innovate.

In my opinion I think Facebook was willing to take our money while they were trying to hit profit targets for the first time ever and now they have succeeded they are shitting on 90% of the adboard. All this banning conveniently timed a week after they announce the first profitable quarter since inception.

Like Justin, I've taken a 90% hit on income & the exercise of finding new traffic, optimizing etc is an expensive and tedious exercise.

Some of you will have remembered the dramatic change in attitudes Facebook has had in the past with allowing / disallowing offers, this time around if they come pissing in the pockets of affiliates trying to get us back, my answer will be

my 2 cents :D

Don't quit so soon! I was in the same boat as you, then figured out a way to get around it, now I know a thing or two about cloaking multiple FB accounts and anonymity :) Send me an email, I'll help you get some FB accounts that don't get banned.

that's sick .... facebook is really too expensive for my pockets right now,but i have made a few sales there.
Is it possible u to ask someone u are close to and trust to setup all your campaigns on their account, until u find another stream of cash?
I never had problems getting ads approved. I have over a 95% approval :)... i will market things most people would not be expecting, for example food,clothes,education.... target a younger crowd with serious offers, no acai berry and colon crap nothing that has had allot of bad press coverage.... i know the payout is good, but affiliates have this saturated.
If i knew u well enough or u knew me,i would be a friend and setup your campaigns to get some quick cash......
hope things workout.... u are smart and u should work on a facebook application and market your things like these developers are......

that’s rough dude.

Facebook wants to have it both ways…

They want the money that affiliates are willing to spend, but they want all the ads to be for local mom and pops, fan pages, or other non-moneymaking bullshit.

Look what happened to me last night..

6:02pm – Facebook dude – ” I moved you to $5K/day, to go higher, I’ll need the attached form filled out.
Thanks,”

9:14pm – 44 ads disapproved (retro disapproval – all the good ones)

Still money to be made and they didn’t ban my account. I don’t cloak or run rebills and try to keep it within their guidelines. Although if you don’t push the limits on editorial guidelines it is tough to get a good CTR.
