Yeah. I’ve had some money issues with one of my advertisers. I basically broke their terms, which was my fault, so I lost a couple K in the process. Would have been no problem as my other ads would have just made up for them, right? Well, AmEx emailed me to tell me I was spending to much on my no limits business card, so they halted funds on that. That meant no more Facebook or PPC. Gah.

Well I got the few G’s back doing some other fun stuff, and I found out I love to design logos and shit, even though the pay is miserable. So, while I get my campaigns back up and running in the background, I’ve got something else to worry about rather than refreshing my stats.

Yeah, anyways, just a lesson to remember to read the terms of each ad you put up and ask your AM before you try something new… mmkay.

Alright! You noobs keep emailing me and asking me about Facebook and how to game it. A lot of it is the normal give me your ads, pictures and demographics plz k thx kinda message. Well, I ain’t gonna do that for you. The point of my counseling service is to exchange ideas and how you can better improve your performance on these networks, not a “Hey Justin, get my whole campaign set up for me k thx” kinda thing. I’m glad to point you in the right direction, but I will never hold your hand through it unless you are paying me a few thousand dollars. even then I’d prolly just take your few thousand dollars and tell you what I tell other people.

So these are some common questions you guys send me with some simple answers.

• I can’t get my diet ad on Facebook. How do I get it up there?

Cloak it.

• What do you mean “cloak it?”

Send it to another website with a header redirect. Say you’re offer is for Acai Berry shit from Smaxor’s network. You send the intern to another informational website about Acai Berries or something. This could be wikipedia or an eZine article page. Then once the ad gets approved, switch the link in the header to your offers link. This can be done for just about any type of offer. Even Porn!

• Where is the script for a header redirect?

I like this little search tool called Google. Comes in handy when I need to find out something that I don’t know. For those that are still confused… here:

• What are the best offers on Facebook?

The best ones are the ones I’m not going to tell you because they are making me a pile of cash. However, the easy ones that everyone knows about are dating offers, education, and diet. Downloads work well if you can cloak them right.

• What dating offer should I run?

They’ll all differ depending on your ad copy, picture, and demographics. I say experiment and see what you can come up with. But if you honestly can’t make money on dating offers, you should probably start tying that noose up now.

• How high do you ussually bid?

Depends on the offer competition and demographics, however, I don’t normally bid more than half the suggested bid. Then I lower it once I see CTR and conversions.

• Do you link straight to the offer, or do you have a landing page?

I try both, or just use a shitty landing page for cloak pages sometimes. Whichever makes more money is the way I go.

So my first month (and 1 week) of affiliate marketing has come to an end, and I’m down and ready to enter into September. I had an amazing month, and learned a ton about affiliate marketing, the people and the ways to get money while staying efficient and maximizing your ROI percentage. Let’s just jot down the numbers of what I got this past month and a week.

Not too bad for 5 weeks time and my first month in this game. This money is the most I’ve ever had the chance to have in my life and I have just been blowing it on everything. I think I’ve got most of what I need now, and I will be saving up for the next few months until I can move out of my tiny apartment and purchase a sexy vehicle.

You can tell by the stats that I am still no super affiliate, but I’m slowly working my way up there. In fact, several of my earlier days were plagued with low ROI and that blasted daily limit Facebook gives its advertisers. For the last 4 days of the month, I was on a roll with my $500 limit and generated ROI of 45 - 75% on each day. Today, I am sitting on an increased $750 budget that I can’t wait to hit.

If my stats stay where they are at like they’ve been for the past few days, I should profit $10,000 - $15,000 next month. If they continue to increase like they have been this past month, I should see profits of somewhere around $15k to $25k. I’m hoping and wishing that’s how it continues to go.

A few of my referrals did pretty well, however, most of the 15 or so that I have only did a few leads. My number one guy has pushed more that 2000 leads. Those commission numbers are all from Ads4Dough. Looks like my help here and here isn’t enough to really get you to get started with affiliate marketing, then. This isn’t free money, but if you aren’t taking at least a stab at it, you’ll never know just how well you could be profiting.

So here’s to next month and some excellent profits!

I had a few good days for the past 3 days. I finally hit my $500 limit on Facebook, and I’ve been doing it consistently since then. I figure I might as well buy something to celebrate.

My ex asked me out (we’re good friends now) so I gladly accompanied her to Central World (where I bought a few things last week or one of them days). There we snacked out on some pizza and coke, chatted about life and how she just broke up with her boyfriend, and I talked about how much money I was making just to get her a little jealous. Then, we headed down to Platinum Mall.

Platinum Mall is a giant fashion mall filled with individual vendors and shops throwing out clothes in bulk discounted prices. I wanted to find some shirts or something to throw over my university uniform, but nothing caught my eye so I left with nothing and she came out with a new dress.

We then headed to Pantip Plaza, my favorite place in Bangkok. This place is full of computer shops and any kind of computer part you might need (except 100 GB 7200 RPM notebook hard drives… long story that I won’t bore you with). They also got a lot of counterfit shit. I picked up a 10,000+ font pack cd and Need For Speed Pro Street to test out on my new PC. I thought it might be a good time to head back to MBK to check something out there, too.

I wanted to check the price of a Playstation 3. The upcoming Final Fantasy games excite me, and I am a Grand Turismo and car nut, so I knew I’d have to get a PS3 one of these days. The price dropped about 100 dollars since I last checked to around $440 dollars which was only a couple days profit for me, so I said what the hell. I threw in Grand Turismo 5 Prolouge and an HDMI cable that brought the price to around $550. Let me tell you… that $550 dollars is completely worth it.

There it is joining the rest of the cluttered mess on my desk. GT5 Prologue looks absolutely amazing on 1080p with an HDMI connection. I’m downloading the necessary hardware to get online now, so tomorrow I should be online to dominate some racing. If anyone else plays, let me know and lets get hooked up. Although, I’m sure my connection will ping slower that fuck to anyone outside of Asia/outside of my block.

• Ads4Dough

A4D has relentlessly been bringing in new and better offers. Smaxor really knows what he is doing with the direction of this network, and I’m positive he’s banking thousands a day on other affiliates leads/sales, and another multiple thousands just with his own. I’ve had a few of my referals come and tell me that Acai Berry is doing wel for them, and I see it with their stats. A4D added a No-Pop version of the Oprah landing page, as well as an Acai White Tea offer (taking the best of both tea and Acai). I’d look into both as they make 30 bucks a head!

• Advaliant

It’s always refreshing to see a few new affiliate offers, and Advaliant provides for those in need of some cash with some excellent offers to push. If you are looking for a dating offer to push to some of the older citizens, look into their Over 40 Singles offer. At $3.50 a lead, that’s pretty good for a one page submit, and 40+ generally converts very well. These can be run on social media, so look forward to making some simple cash on Facebook.

• Copeac

Too many new offers to list are up on Copeac. They’ve got a new offer for Acai Berries up called Acai Berry Extreme that you might want to look into. They’ve also got a shit load of financial offers up, too. You’d be better off doing those on content/search platforms than FB/Social media. They’re too difficult to get approved without cloaking.

• Rocket Profit

Unfortunatly, Rocket Profit hasn’t been seeing much money from me lately. It’s not that they are a bad network, but they just aren’t getting too many offers lately. However, if you go to their Affiliate News page, you’ll see 3 Acai Berry offers up in the past week.

• NeverBlueAds

Michelle, my affiliate manager, has been great so far. She sends me replies to all the emails I send and is constantly available via MSN. She is also top notch in getting me the offers I need to promote. Their dating ads are what you want to look at for Facebook and they are countless. Make sure you check out the Singles.co.uk offer. Clicks are consistently cheaper, although you have to trade that off for lower impression counts.

Tomorrow marks the end of the month, so I will post my stats for revenue and profit for my first full month (plus a week in July) of affiliate marketing. This should give all you noobs just like me a little hope in knowing that starting from absolutely nothing (I honestly had 5 dollars in my bank account when I started this) and go to several thousands in your first month.

I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve heard this phrase. But you know what? You should be thankful of this.

Who does the Facebook team of interns disapproving your ads consist of? Mostly, a bunch of clueless American college drones looking to scrape up some cash with an easy job. They sit in their comfy chair and click approve or disapprove, sometimes seemingly frivolously, randomely, and without much intent to actually carry out their tasks by not actually visiting our landing pages and then clicking disapprove.

But you know what I say to that? Thank god it isn’t one of us approving the ads!

If they put the time and money into getting their FB interns trained properly for this approval mess, I guarentee some would see some major drops into what passes as a reasonable ad. Then, they’d probably know what the fuck we are up to, too. I’m sure a few of the interns jot down notes on ads they see, get off work, and then reproduce them on their own, but we can assume enough to say they are dimwits for probably 99% of them that have no idea what Affiliate Marketing is. Train them, and they’ll know some of us are banking thousands of dollars a day on these silly booby pictures.

So, stop bitching and just keep resubmitting your ads. Eventually, you’ll get a retard that works in your favor and approves an ad that you know in the first place would never get approved if they actually read their Facebook Intern handbook.

This blog is hosted on my first webhost I ever purchased. I was frail, unknowing and ignorant when it came to hosting options, and at the time (around December) I was running on just a few dollars a month. I saw the space Dreamhost offered, and the growing amount of space they give every month. Oooo Shiny, right?

Wrong. At first I had no problems with them. I hosted my first few blogs there, had a few SEO’d sites that got awesome traffic on long tail keywords and direct product matches after just a couple weeks of work, and I registered all my domains with Dreamhost. Hell, this blog is hosted there even now.

Things stayed smoother for a couple months. Then, they were like “FUCK YOU to anyone that signed up with us on a debit card.” They ended charging my debit card with no money on it for 2 years of service. No problem though, as they immediately charged back the money. However, where were my overdraft fees they should have paid for, too? They did nothing and responded to no emails I sent them.

After that, things just sucked. My loading times on trying to get onto the backend of WP are miserable. Sometimes, it even times out. Then there are the times that the server status just cuts out for minutes, even hours and days at a time.

This was especially great when I went to cloak an ad using a redirect for Facebook. As soon as the ad got up and running, and I got to changing the redirection to what I really wanted, the hosting just died. I lost about 50 dollars in clicks until I noticed it. Maybe I’m just on a crap server, and should ask to be moved, but something just says don’t even bother with it.

I’ve read the reviews now, and everyone says Dreamhost is great if you need a shit load of cheap space and don’t actually use it for anything serious. I’d say its great for backing up files, and the hosting space and bandwidth keeps growing on a weekly basis. I’ll still keep my account for those reasons, and those reasons only, but never again will I host on it. It just isn’t reliable.

So, wanting to move away from shared hosting, I bought myself an unmanaged VPS server at Linode. I knew nothing about VPS, seting them up, or Linux, but hydrophonic from the Nicky Cakes Chat hooked me up with everything I needed. The new site I’ll be running some massive PPC campaigns on will be up soon, and I’ll hopefully be doubling my revenue by next month with this thing.

These guys have excellent reviews, and everyone I’ve talked to said they’ve had nearly 100% uptime and most dowtime is actually caused by user mistakes, not the actual servers. I’ll give a better review once I test it out, but I’m hoping it isn’t comparable to Dreamhost as it should be well better.

I’ve decided to start a little post every Saturday that will review what I think will do good business for marketers. Taking from my experience and work I’ve done with A4D, Advaliant, Copeac, NeverblueAds, and RocketProfit, if you can target the right demographics or keywords and write some nice copy, you should be able to get these to convert well and bank.

• Ads4Dough

Smaxor has added a nice set of new offers for us affiliate marketers to push. Running off some tips over at Nickycake’s blog and Wickedfire, it seems that crush offers are a converting similarly well like ringtones, but it is less crowded meaning cheaper clicks and even a wider audience. Pushing to general demographics rather than long tail keywords is profiting, as well. Offer 1009 on Ads4Dough is an answer to this.

• Advaliant

Even though we love to bitch and complain about how bad the Advaliant interface is, they get your money in your pocket fast. Lately, Tea niches have been dominating. Recent news from Advaliant caught my attention. Instead of offering a new tea offer, they’ve increased the demographics you can target. Check out campaigns #1473 - Wu Yi Tea & #1790 - EasyWeightlossTea where you can now target audiences in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. Does anyone else smell cheap clicks?

• Copeac

Copeac is kinda a mess of more offers than you could count. A lot of it is junk and free offers with low payouts, but there is some good shit on there that you might want to check out. They haven’t released any offers that particularly catches my attention, but #3267, Online Degree for Working Moms, looks like it might have some potential. It’s already targeting a very specific niche of people, and I know a lot of moms who just don’t have the time to go to school to finish their degree. My mother was one of those, and she was eventually drawn into these online schools. If you can get this one on Facebook, it might do well.

• Rocket Profit

I really haven’t seen anything new from Rocket Profit for a long while now. So, lets just go back to dating offers, shall we? Dating is still smoking on Facebook, and longtails are running hot on Google and other search platforms. Rocket Profit has some excellent targeted landing pages for Asians, Jews, Christians, Blacks, and Hispanics on eHarmony. eHarmony is flowin out like hotcakes, and they have a high payout at $4 a pop. Set ‘em up on Facebook with some titties and watch some cash roll in.

• Neverblue Ads

Neverblue Ads is the sexiest network by far (both the interface and their AMs). They’ve had a lot of great offers come through their doors, lately. One that I am fairly interested in is Women Co campaign #3347. After a 3 page submit, you’ll gain 18 dollars. Wow wow! Big money. It’s an Edu offer, which convert well, and targetted towards women which are easy to persuade.

If you decide to sign up for any of these networks, stop being a bitch and actively push something. I’ve got plenty of referrals now, but only about 1% of them are doing any real traffic. I know you might be scared of losing money, but just build up a bank doing easy shit first. Hit up facebook with some big tittie pictures, a dating offer, and throw it up. If you can’t atleast break even, you are fairly retarded. BTW, I reccommend the Singles Net offer at Ads4Dough.

Affiliate Marketing steals basic concepts from the marketing that professionals and market managers use in Forbes 500 companies, and dumbs it down to the point where most anyone can make some sort of profit. I’m far from great, ultra creative, and experienced, but I still make hundreds a day (working on reaching thousands). Had it not been some advice I’d taken from my marketing courses in college, though, I may not be as far as I am now.

• Customer-Oriented Offers

This is a simple idea that any profiting AM knows about. No matter how much you love little kittens wearing ski-masks, you’ll find it extremely hard to push any offer selling ski masks for kittens unless you do your niche research before hand. You aren’t the one making the decision to but the kitten ski masks. No matter how much you think they will sell, you won’t be able to sell that offer unless you know who will buy them. That is why it is almost always easier to take the needs (the word want can be interchanged here as the lines between what is needed and what is wanted can be very broad depending on society) of a group of people and send them an offer that will work with them. In the end, it is down to the end user, the customer, or consumer to make the final choice on your CPA offer.

• Coordination

You need a plan. You need to be coordinated. You need to obtain a high level of coordination with all your campaigns. I used to run headstrong into these offers without demographic research, without split testing, and without giving much of a care on my click prices. Now, I’ve got data sheets storing my lead IDs, revenue and profit, demographic lists, and piles of other useful information I can use when I plan new campaigns. I no longer slack on planning, because even though it might take me an extra day, it might make me 100+ dollars per day which in the end, is well worth a few hours of extra work. Getting things coordinated will ensure atleast some sort of success, even if that success leads to learning from your failures.

• Performance Objectives

I used to be happy with any type of profit I made. 2 dollars or 200, it didn’t matter because it meant I was making money. However, it set no real goal for me. I had nothing to aim for except for $0.01 a day. It led to a lack in motivation, especially for expanding campaigns. That was stupid. I write down conversian goals and plans for new campaigns that I want to get running in the near future. I even write down profit goals I want to reach for the month and year. It gives me a sparkle of hope and a push when my profits drop. If I can’t realize these goals, I know that I need to change something or slightly adjust them.

There are certainly other aspects one should come to know in order to better perfect their Affiliate Marketing skills. These are just 3 that enjoy going over and use everyday in order to push myself further. So I suggest you do the same, biotches! I also suggest you sign up for the best Affiliate Network in the world!
