Definitely not a good idea you guys.

So I wanted to try some offers out that I hadn’t hit before, so I made a few ads for the offers. A few hours later, I was up to a couple hundred clicks and just a couple conversions that definetly did not pay for the clicks. Pause, pause, pause, right? Sure, but I did something retarded and grouped them with other ads (because I just created a similar ad as it was in the same niche as that one). So I had to dig through all of the ads and make sure I was pausing the ones that weren’t making me money.

I finished that, created a few more of the ads that were doing well, and a few minutes later my friends called me to invite me to hit up a nice pub a couple miles away. I couldn’t pass that up! I had a good time, drank some whiskey/coke on the rocks (the only thing Thai people ever drink), got hit pretty hard with the drunk hammer and came back a few hours later.

I wasn’t drunk enough to not check my stats, so I did just that. Hey! Why the hell do I have 300 more clicks on that shitty campaign. Dammit, dammit, dammit. I didn’t get them all. So I had to go through all of them again, drunk, and make sure i paused them all. I think I got them. Couldn’t stand it and I just passed out in my chair.

A few hours later I wake up, and being in front of the computer, I check my stats again. I did pause all those shitty ads, but I noticed I was making shit ROI compared to what I normally got. Well, the new ads I created in the profitable niche were priced a little too high. Just about 15 cents, but that 15 cents is what makes me a couple dollars off of each lead I generate. I ended up breaking even on those higher click priced ads. In the end I was still profitable but only with a 20 - 25% on things that normally make me 33 - 60% or more.

Kinda disappointed in myself that I pretty much wasted half my daily budget on shitty ads. Instead of having a 500 - 700 dollar day like I was expecting, I think I made about 180 or so. It’s more than enough to cover anything I want to do for 2 weeks here in Thailand, but dayum, I could have had so much more. I’m trying to save up about 6 - 12 months rent so I can get a really nice condo in the next few weeks (I’m in a sardine tin now.. 23 sq. meters. Google the conversion if you need it. It’s tiny). If I keep screwing up like this, it will take me a month or two. Had I done it right, it might only take 1 or two weeks. Well, lets hope I get it right today, aye.
