Christmas And New Year’s Week

Posted on December 28th, 2008 By Under Affiliate Marketing

This time of the year seems to give a lot of downtime to the whole busy-ness of life for just about everyone that celebrates these holidays. Even though Thailand doesn’t include Christmas in its official holiday list, universities have just finished up their first term and they give a couple weeks of downtime for all the tired students and teachers after prepping and taking tests. People will generally get lazy, and dick around a lot. And while that is probably what you want to be doing, you know you shouldn’t.

I want to be lazy as hell. The past few weeks have been hell, actually going to classes to listen to teacher’s test reviews and taking time out to do my own studying. On top of that, everyone has been shaving the hell out of every offer (300 clicks and no conversions on an email submit? Blow me). Gotta pay for your affiliate gifts some how, right networks? I’ve also spent a buttload of time upping new campaigns and new offers. I’m effing exhausted and I just want to quit for a week.

But this week, everyone else is quitting and letting in some down time. Which means if I’m expanding into new offers, campaigns, promotional methods, and building new LPs, I’ll be a week or two ahead of everyone else once they get back from holiday breaks. I’m not saying you shouldn’t take a little time to spend it with family and friends, but you might want to use some of that time you would be watching TV or playing games to expand into new niches, or do some research, experiment with new ad copy. It’s tough when you want to just kick back and relax after all your Christmas dinners and leftovers, but think about if you work now, how much work that will save you later and how much you could profit off of it.

Updates from me: I just rented myself a dedicated server from Alloy Hosting. It’s got effing dual 3.2 Ghz Xeon processors (that’s 12.8 Ghz of processing power), 2 GB of RAM, 2 x 73 SCSI 10k RPM hard drives, 2500GB of monthly bandwidth, with Interworx. All of this for under 200 dollars (180 to be exact)! And Alloy is run by my close acquaintance Sohan, so I know I’ll be taken care of there. I’d like to see you find a better deal anywhere that is managed by a guy who really knows hosting, affiliate marketing, and has helped me out a ton! Alloy doesn’t list that they do dedicated servers, but if you are interested in a dedicated server, contact me (on my contact page) or find Sohan’s email or something with a monthly budget on what you want to spend for hosting, and we’ll get you hooked up.

Anyways… Make Money + Get Paid!
