Ask Questions, Get Answers: Another Round!

Posted on May 26th, 2012 By Under Justin Dupre

It’s Saturday here and I’ve got total writer’s block. Not that I don’t have much to say, but I just can’t put it down on digital paper. If you are new to Ask Questions, Get Answers, all you have to do is drop a question down below in the comments section or shoot me an email by hitting up my contact page. If your question works well, I’ll turn the answer into a highly detailed blog post!

So, get crackin’ and start asking me any questions you would like. Thailand, CPA, marketing, advertising, consulting, self-improvement are just some of the topics you can pick from!

I finally decided to start my first campaign. But first I need something to market for and haven't gotten accepted to any of the CPA networks. Or ppv networks. Do I have to have a niche picked out and website in place to begin or what. I've been reading on it for weeks and finally decided to go and am getting nowhere.

What are the first 5 steps I should take?

    Hi Justin,

The question I would like to ask, is how much traffic quality relates to lead quality. As CPA publishers, Traffic quality is one of our biggest concerns. Does the traffic we send convert, and what kind of ROI does it give us?

On the other side of the CPA networks, an advertiser's main concern is on lead quality. Are the leads that they're paying for going on to produce sales, etc.

So basically, I'd just like to know how much the two are related. I was recently getting a good ROI on a campaign using a reputable traffic source. Then my AM contacted me asking me to stop traffic to the offer, citing the poor quality of the leads. As publishers, I feel we really need to understand more about lead quality, and how to produce good quality leads. This will benefit our relationship with advertisers and our networks, giving a good reason for payout bumps, and avoiding scrubbing and blacklisting by advertisers.

Hey Justin, starting out with dating offers on Facebook. Really want to give it a go!

    1. Am I wasting my time because it's been done to death? ;)
    2. I clearly need to test 100s of images. Where can I scrap or find these images? I'm targeting women in oz.
    3. Have you ever made a "mistake" with a ladyboy?

    Thanks
    Nik

I'm just getting started. I toyed with this about a year ago but wasn't all in. I'm all in now.
My question is how would you advise me to get a profitable campaign as quickly as possible on Direct CPV.
My budget is about $400.00. My offers are from EWA.
I've been using url targeting to build lists of high traffic sites. I think I could do this for any offers you suggest that will work well on Direct CPV.

  9. Hello Justin,
I am a Newb in the world of internet marketing. I have been through he ringer with all the BS. I have been on many a guru list. I am determined to be successful. My question to you is: Is Content king, and can I get on the first page of Google through blogging alone with daily fresh relevant information written smartly with my keywords in the right places? I am blogging as a sub-domain of blogger.
    Yours in success
    Sasha T.

Unfortunately, I don\’t do a whole lot of SEO. The blogs I write for, or own, are all naturally written content that are written without thinking about keyword density or anything like that. It\’s all natural, and given enough time the rankings go up on their own. I remember one of my blogs doing about 10 hits a day went up to around 100 after the update. This is with no real effort linking anything or doing mass link drops – completely natural seems like the way to go so content is king in my mind.

  10. Anthony says:

Justin, my question is pretty simple. Where would you recommend I get images from to use for testing dating ads? I mean for every offer, and every age group, you may need younger pictures either male/female, middle aged pictures both male/female, and the same for senior pics. These images need to be "amateur" images.

So…precisely how do you recommend going about getting all these images to use for testing?

  12. Brandon says:

Hi Justin. I simply love your posts – they are very personal, and that is why I prefere this blog compared to other affiliates.
My question is from a bit another angle. I have had some experience with aff-marketing, but have always only broke even or failed. Now, I am about to start my own product and of course would like to find as many affiliates as possible to promote my product. But how do I find them? Is there some sort of affiliate social network or directory? ;-) my product will first launch in the German market and later in English. do you have any advice? my aff-programm I will program my own and will not be on any network or so. the payoff will be 50%, so I guess/hope that seems fair, what do you think?
    thank you
    cheers Brandon

  13. Janey J. says:

Hello, i have a few questions, looking for answers… 1) what is the common metric used to compare offers in the affiliate marketing space? 2) do ad networks work on the same pricing model as affiliate networks? 3) what are the 4-5 top verticals? 4) what are the 3-4 largest affiliate networks?
