A Big Shout Out To Those At Affiliate Summit West 2010

Posted on January 20th, 2010 By Under Affiliate Summit

I’m finally back home… my home in the states that is. Last night I flew from Vegas into Minnesota to be back with my family on the night of my birthday. It’s good to see everyone again, but god damn it’s cold!

Las Vegas was a lot of fun. I landed on the 15th, where my mother, grandma and grandpa picked me up. I had my first American style breakfast in years at Denny’s and absolutely stuffed myself. I gotta say thanks to them first for picking me up, taking me out to eat, and taxiing me out to the Encore where I stayed.

The Encore was absolutely ridiculous. My room was ballin for only $109 – $199 a night (depending on what night it was). I got some free hotel credit for food and whatnot, the food was good and decently priced, casino was gorgeous and clean, and the women all looked amazing, especially when they came at night to go to the night clubs.

The first two days, I was there was a lot of being lazy and getting over my jetlag from being in Thailand nearly 2 and a half years. I popped some sleeping pills the night of the 15th, and as soon as I did that, Nickycakes offered to take me out to some Korean place for dinner. I went and just about passed out on my plate, but the food was really good. The beer, Hite, was some of the best I’ve had in my life. Went down really smooth… probably didn’t mix with the pills too well though. Nick picked up the bill which was awesome of him. Thanks Nick.

The 16th, I met up with some guys I talk to online, Casey and Robbie, at the Rio for breakfast. We talked a lot about Facebook, and I took some good knowledge from them and shared some of my own experiences. Thanks to both of you for the company and the good chat.

Later, had lunch with my mother at Table 10 in the Venetian. I had the ribeye, and that really hit the spot. Also paired it with a glass of wine. It was all really good, and totally what you would expect from a restaurant by Emeril. BAM.

At night, I met up with the guys from B-Line Revenue and they took me and about 8 other guys (most of them super affiliates) out to dinner at the Aria. So thank you, B-Line. It was pretty good food (although not the best), but I know you had good intentions. And, even though they were hurt by the recent rebill BS, they aren’t out of the game and have been able to pay back their affiliates. Check out B-Line Revenue if you are looking for some new offers and things to run.

And then came the 17th, the first day of the conferance. I met up with some buddies of mine at the Palms Place where we chilled for a while, then headed over to the Rio for out ASW passes. We picked them up, and were headed to the meet market when we realized it was closed. We headed back to the Palms where AdsDirect got hooked up in a kick ass G-Suite. It was rediculous. I got to meet their team and I’m looking forward to running some traffic of mine through their offers soon.

I headed back to the Palms Place at night for the PPV Mastermind group setup by David from PPV Playbook. That went over really, really good. We all bounced ideas off of each other, talked about some advanced PPV methods, and I think we all learned a great deal.

After that, it was back to the Palms for the PPC.BZ party sponsored by Nickycakes, Neverblue and Plenty of Fish. Let’s just say it was rediculous. Free alcohol (well… for the most part, they started charging later on), dullspace, barman, Thank Yu Dennis Yu hats, YTCracker, Jon Chow, and a bunch of other pals of mine were all there. I ended up chillin with my boy Khoa and a bunch of cuties from the Bloosky team. Khoa ended up jumping into the pool overlooking the strip for $200 from Nickycakes, which gave us all a good laugh. I called it a night later on and stumbled back to my room, somehow. Can’t remember too much after the party. Haha.

The 18th had me waking up really sick. My bed was soaked with sweat, I had a killer headache, and I don’t think I need to explain how much I felt like shit. My mom came down to the Encore with medicine in hand, and we had Asian food at Wazuzu. It was alright, on level with any other high class Asian restaurant in America, but it was nothing like real Asian food at all. I didn’t like it too much, but my mother did. I picked up the bill on this one.

Afterwards, I stumbled off to the Rio to check out the network booths. I had some good chats with Jason and the team from A4D, Azoogle reps, Ryan and the team from ECM were there, and I even got to meet the real Circa. It was a real good time meeting everyone. Afterwards, a bunch of us headed out to go-carting next to the Palms. At $25 bucks for 10 minutes, it’s not cheap, but this is Vegas. It was fun while it lasted.

The Tracking202 Meetup was held at the Palms ballroom. It was kind of a boring presentation, and sounded like a giant sales pitch for Bloosky (because Bloosky acquired Tracking202). I got to meet Wes at the PPC.BZ party the day before, but then he definetly wasn’t talking as fast as he was here. Haha. I sat around and waited for the raffle where I won jack-squat, bumped into the bartender from the other day’s party. Some super affiliates gave some advice to all of us, and thats where it was rapped up.

I was planning to hit up XS with the girls from Bloosky in order to celebrate my birthday, but I just couldn’t handle it. I was dying from being so sick. I passed out and had an early morning flight out here to Minnesota.

I really want to thank everyone for being so cool at the summit. I know I looked like death walking around, but I was sick (its the change in weather from 100 degrees F to 40-50s in 1 day. My body can’t take it). Still, a lot of my readers came up and told me how much they love my blog. I really appreciate that, and that must mean I’m doing something right. Networking while you feel like crap sucks, but I still had fun meting everyone and ASW overall was a lot of fun.

More Shout Outs as I remember/get reminded of them will be put here – Thanks to Benny Tejeda for my passes to ASW. That balla’ was passin them out free like they were 99 cent hotcakes. Thanks to Barman for the Dennis Yu hat. Thanks to Khoa for a ton of laughs. Thanks to… who else am I forgetting? Remind me in the comments!

Now, I’ve got some new ideas and some work to do!

Hey Justin, it was a pleasure meeting you at the neverblue party earlier. Sorry that it seemed like a bloosky's sales pitch, was trying our best to share why we worked together but I can understand if it came off that way. I do appreciate you coming though man, it means alot, we'll try our best to improve it off your feedback on future events.
